Islands of Calm and Joy

Concert idea: Since ancient times it has often been believed that art is created through struggle, difficult emotions, or the "living through" of strong negative feelings. Yet composers frequently wrote works of a different mood: music created to capture moments of happiness.

In fact, when looked at more closely, there are quite a lot of such "islands" of joy and peace. The concert will feature works united by the theme of light and joy in music.

Together with children, we will talk about the images that inspired these compositions and embark on a musical journey through different countries.
